LED light therapy.
LED light therapy is a popular non-invasive facial skin treatment for acne, sun damage, wounds, and other skin problems. The therapy uses varying wavelengths of light to trigger the skin’s natural healing processes to repair the skin. Several treatments are necessary to see results.
Blue light
Animal research indicates that blue light can enhance the healing of third-degree burns. Experts believe that blue LED rays decrease activity in the sebaceous glands, which are tiny oil-producing glands in the skin. This decline in movement induces the glands to produce less oil, possibly improving acne manifestation. Blue light may also eradicate a kind of bacteria contributing to acne by provoking inflammation.
Red light
